Christian Eriksen's agent claims there are "several" clubs interested in signing the Danish playmaker from Tottenham.

Eriksen has been one of Tottenham’s stand-out performers in recent seasons and has two years left on a four-year contract worth about £70,000 a week. Tottenham have no wish to sell him.

Barcelona have a long-standing admiration for Eriksen, while reports in Spain this week said Real Madrid believe the 26-year-old to be an eventual replacement for Luka Modric in midfield.

Asked about Eriksen’s future, his agent Martin Schoots said: "The only thing I can say is that concerning the interest of several clubs in Christian is that we prefer not to comment.

"Christian wants to focus completely on the World Cup - just as he did before on qualifying for the Champions League with Spurs.

"But becoming a father for the first time very soon, there is even something bigger at the moment he is giving his attention to."

Eriksen, Harry Kane and Dele Alli are three players Tottenham have no plans to sell, especially as they hope to move into a new stadium next season, and have secured Champions League football for the third consecutive campaign.
