Juventus plan to test Dele Alli’s temperament at Wembley Stadium as they go in search of a win that will ensure they advance to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini had a running tussle with England midfielder Alli during the second half in Turin, although the 21-year-old had already made an impact by then, setting up Spurs’ opening goal for Harry Kane.

The Serie A champions are likely to be boosted by the return from injury of Gonzalo Higuain, who scored twice in the first leg and should have probably have finished the match with four goals. The Argentine has been struggling with an ankle injury and missed last Saturday’s 1-0 win at Lazio, but Juve coach Massimiliano Allegri is confident he will be involved at Wembley.

“Gonzalo can play,” Allegri said. “He is ready and available. It’s such an important game that, even if you’re not at your best, you play.”

Mario Mandzukic is missing with a thigh problem, so Douglas Costa and Paulo Dybala are likely to join Higuain in attack.

Allegri fears extra-time may be too much for his side, though, saying: “We have to try to win the game in 90 minutes as we don’t have options on the bench.”
