Laurent Koscielny was forced off after just 10 minutes of Arsenal’s Europa League round-of-16 second leg against AC Milan after suffering what appeared to be a hip injury.

Arsenal’s captain for the match appeared to injure himself after a collision with Milan defender Alessio Romagnoli when the pair competed for a corner in the sixth minute of the game at the Emirates Stadium, where the Gunners held a 2-0 lead from the first leg.

Koscielny was in evident discomfort after taking a hit to the hip and was forced off soon after, to be replaced by Calum Chambers.

With Arsenal’s fixture list currently clear until April 1, of more immediate concern to Koscielny will be his role in France’s international friendlies later this month.
