Thousands of sun-soaked revellers have already descended on Worthy Farm as they gear up for a weekend of music and partying.

One of the most diverse years in the history of Glastonbury Festival will see a mix of acts including Radiohead, Katy Perry, Major Lazer and Chic take to the main stages.

A host of famous faces are set to plot up in the VIP area while a series of comedy, poetry and theatre acts will be performing across the weekend.

Here’s what you need to know:

Headliners

Radiohead will be headlining the Pyramid Stage on Friday night, followed by rockers Foo Fighters on the Saturday and then Ed Sheeran closing the festival on the Sunday.

Celebrity attendees

The VIP area is set to be rather star-studded this year with celebrities including Suki Waterhouse, Ellie Goulding, Rita Ora, Cara Delevingne and Harry Styles expected to attend.

Pixie Geldof is also expected to make an appearance, just days after her wedding in Majorca, as are her bridesmaids Alexa Chung and Daisy Lowe.

Other expected attendees include Nick Grimshaw, Sofia Richie, Millie Mackintosh and Louise Thompson.

The best of the rest

As well as the plethora of foodie destinations, art installations and late night raves, there are one or two more interesting events to look out for.

A-lister Johnny Depp will be opening the brand new drive-thru cinema on Thursday night, followed by a Q&A about his favourite films.

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn is another unlikely addition to the line-up, introducing Run the Jewells alongside festival organiser Michael Eavis on Saturday.

Acts rumoured to be playing surprise sets include Oasis, Harry Styles, Carole King and Daft Punk.
