Bradley Cooper was comforted by his mother after getting snubbed at the SAG Awards, days after failing to bag a Best Director nomination ahead of the Oscars.

Cooper’s girlfriend Irina Shayk swerved Sunday night’s ceremony in Los Angeles, leaving Cooper free to take his mother Gloria Campano.

The pair walked the red carpet hand-in-hand before posing for a slew of pictures over dinner, where they were seated next to Cooper’s A Star is Born co-star Lady Gaga and her fiancé Christian Carino.

Shayk, who shares one-year-old Lea with the actor is currently shooting a campaign for Marc Jacobs Beauty and Sephora in Moscow, Russia.

She previously joined him at the Golden Globes, marking a rare public appearance for the private couple.

A Star is Born failed to pick up any awards it was nominated for at Sunday night’s ceremony, with Cooper and Gaga missing out on the Leading Actor and Actress gongs to Rami Malek and Glenn Close.

Sam Elliott also failed to pick up Supporting Actor, while the film, which marked Cooper’s directorial debut, lost out on Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture to Black Panther.

The snub comes days after the Oscars failed to acknowledge Cooper for Best Director, with Spike Lee (BlacKkKlansman), Pavel Pawlikowski (Cold War), Yorgos Lanthimos (The Favourite), Alfonso Cuaron (Roma) and Adam McKay (Vice) up for the accolade.

Gaga praised her co-star as she reacted to the snub, telling the Los Angeles Times: “At the end of the day, he knows that he’s the best director in my eyes, and in all of our eyes as his cast.

“I know that he’s so happy that we’ve all been nominated and that the film was recognised and we all feel really, really beyond elated for the recognition.”

The duo performed Golden Globe winning song Only Shallow together live in Las Vegas for the first time this weekend, after Gaga invited Cooper on stage during her Enigma residency.
