Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie shocked the world when they announced their split – but the Hollywood power couple are reportedly getting back together.

The pair, who have six children together, filed for divorce in 2016 citing “irreconcilable differences” after two years of marriage.

But they have since undergone spiritual counselling in a bid to make a fresh start, according to their biographer Ian Halperin.

Speaking to the Mail on Sunday, he said: “Brad took the first step forward, then they collapsed into each other's arms. There were a lot of tears, nothing was left on the table.

“They had it out, right there and then in this very modest house.

“In that moment they decided to make a fresh start. It was a ‘come to Jesus meeting’ that marked the beginning of a new phase in their relationship.”

Mr Halperin said the A listers, also known as Brangelina, may still divorce as Jolie reportedly feels problems started to arise after they got married.

“Angie believes everything started to go wrong after they tied the knot,” he said. “Their relationship shifted, it became boring. They both had heavy work schedules and they were constantly travelling around as a family. Tensions grew.

“They both view divorce as not the worst thing that can happen. It's only a piece of paper and they feel once the divorce is done, they have a clean sheet and can start their lives anew.”

Jolie recently opened up about being single after 12 years with Pitt, saying she finds it tough.

“I don't enjoy being single. It's not something I wanted,” she told the Telegraph.

“There's nothing nice about it. It's just hard.

"Sometimes maybe it appears I am pulling it all together, but really I am just trying to get through my days.

“Emotionally it's been a very difficult year.”
