Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s jam-packed schedule for their first trip abroad as a married couple has been revealed by Kensington Palace.

The couple are travelling to the Republic of Ireland next month in what will be their first official visit since they married in May.

Harry and Meghan will spend their time in the country visiting organisations central to Irish life as well as meeting Irish officials and politicians.

In an itinerary published by the Palace, the final details of the official visit were outlined.

Harry and Meghan are due to arrive on July 10 and stay for one night in the Republic.

They will attend a sports festival at Croke Park, home of the Gaelic Athletic Association, and will view the Book of Kells, one of the Republic's cultural treasures.

They will also attend a summer garden party at the British Ambassador's residence, where they will meet people from across Ireland's arts, sports, military and social enterprise sectors.

The couple will be taken to the Famine Memorial before visiting EPIC, the Irish Emigration Museum, which tells the story of the 10 million Irish people who have emigrated across the world.

The programme follows previous visits by the Queen and Prince of Wales to the Republic and will include official meetings with President of Ireland Michael D Higgins and Taoiseach Leo Varadkar.

Meghan was thrown into the deep end to launch a string of Royal duties as she attended an event alone with the Queen.

The pair attended a Royal engagement in Cheshire on June 14, where they met with dignitaries and watched a performance by local schoolchildren before the Queen officially opened a new bridge over the river Mersey.

The two were pictured chatting and sharing a joke together at the event, with Meghan apparently at ease in the Monarch’s company.
