Two of London’s best-loved restaurants are teaming up for the ultimate in fast food indulgence: a “burger-pizza”. Is that a bizza or a purger?

Yard Sale, the London-born pizza brand that celebrates its tenth anniversary this year, has tapped up Bleecker Burger, another London-born success story, for the collaboration which is to be called the “Bleecker Birthday Pizza”.

The collaboration marks the 10th anniversary of Yard Sale, who now operate a dozen sites for eat in and takeaway in London.

The pie is set to be topped with the classic burger flavours; a chopped Bleecker beef patty with signature seasoning, topped with diced white onions and Bleecker's own house sauce. The burger-style toppings will all sit upon a classic fior di latte mozzarella and tomato sauce pizza.

Both Bleecker Burger and Yard Sale pizza thrived in London from relatively humble beginnings with Bleecker founder Zan Kaufman trading her corporate law job in New York for a burger van in London, whilst Yard Sale pizza was born out of experimentation in a small backyard pizza oven a decade ago.

Both food brands have since grown into success stories and the “burger-pizza” collaboration marks a celebration of that success.

In addition to the launch of the special-edition pizza, a £1 donation for each pie sold will be committed to the Outside Project, an LGBTIQ+ community shelter. The program assists those within the LGBTIQ+ community who feel endangered, who are homeless, or feel that they are on the outside of traditional social and health care services.

Available from May 8, across London at all Yard Sale shops. The full list of locations can be found here
