The 2017 X Factor contestants’ house has been revealed as a luxury multi-million pound mansion in London's Winchmore Hill whose previous owners include legendary musicians Lionel Richie and Rod Stewart.

The lavish property comes complete a swimming pool, a games room and a gym.

Acts will be able to practise their performances at home thanks to a music room with microphones, drum kit and grand piano.

But despite the impressive surroundings, as in previous years, hopefuls will be sleeping bootcamp-style in bunk beds.

The frames of some of the beds have even been signed by their previous occupants.

One of the members of Rak Su’s bunk features graffiti by rap duo Reggie ‘n’ Bollie and previous winners Matt Terry and Louisa Johnson.

The 12 acts that have made it through to the live shows stage of the singing competition will stay at the property until they are voted off.

The full list of acts is Rak-Su, The Cutkelvins, Sean and Conor Price, Lloyd Macey, Spencer Sutherland, Sam Black, Rai-Elle Williams, Holly Tandy, Grace Davies, Kevin Davy White, Matt Linnen and Tracey Leanne Jefford.

However, the confirmed 12 acts will have to save some space at their new digs, after show bosses announced that they would be introducing a ‘wildcard’ twist to give eliminated contestants a second chance.

Fans of the show can vote to see their favourite former hopeful back in the competition. One act from each of the judges’ groups will return to the show.

The show’s final stage sees the singers perform in front of a studio audience, before battling it out for viewer votes.

The first X Factor live show airs Saturday 28 at 8.20pm on ITV.
